Greetings!

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to over 100 high school students and teachers to join us at the Massachusetts State House for The Global Deeds Civic Action Summit runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (please arrive by 9 a.m. for logistical purposes), and the date is announced upon coordinating with the State House and all the schools involved. This event promises a comprehensive one-day training in civic engagement, encompassing a range of crucial topics, including:

1. The Path to Public Office
2. Empowering Communities Through Participatory Budgeting (“City Money Management”)
3. Demystifying the Mechanics of the U.S. Government

During this summit, students and teachers (chaperones/advisors), will have a unique opportunity to engage in constructive dialogues with their elected officials over a shared lunch. They can express their concerns and innovative ideas through written communication as well.

For teachers interested in nominating students, please take note of the April 15th, 2025 deadline to do so.  We kindly request that you consider student-leaders who exhibit a genuine passion for community involvement and advocacy within their schools. Such individuals often have active roles in student government or related initiatives. To guide your selection process, please review our detailed selection criteria provided in the application form.

Parental permission slips will be required for student participation in this event. Parents are encouraged to conveniently submit these permissions online. In cases where parents may not have access to a computer, teachers are welcome to assist them by completing the form on their behalf, if necessary. To initiate this process, both teachers and parents should initiate registration through our application portal, creating a personalized username and password. Subsequently, they can log in and complete the submission of all required information.  If you are a teacher who would like to nominate a student, please click on the “APPLY NOW” button, and parents can submit their permission slips directly (please send us a request to receive the form).  Below are the links:
