Volunteer Position Description
Summary:
This position has two components. One is an on-site assignment only (shooting footage), and the other one can be done remotely (editing). He or she will accomplish the majority of the technical tasks related to production and post-production. Responsibilities include transporting, setting up, and operating equipment, assisting with staging, preparation of the set and in some cases bringing necessary props. The videographer will work closely with the creative director to execute the concept through to fruition.
Specific responsibilities include:
Determines what camera equipment is necessary and obtains the equipment.
NOTE: please note that we only work with high quality equipment in the production of promotional videos, online courses and testimonials.
Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and site of production. All equipment shall be insured or under the sole responsibility of the videographer.
Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment.
Collects footage of campus as well as interviews.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to our boards and students.
Helps to sustain and guide creative process
Assists in maintaining a blog to document the team’s progression
Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards
